Nour Nasr, a peacebuilding practitioner specializing in oral history and collective memory

Nasr is a Lebanese peacebuilding practitioner specializing in oral history, collective memory, and dialogue. She currently serves as Program Coordinator of the Hkeeli Initiative at Beit Beirut, where she coordinates exhibitions, educational programmes, and community initiatives that engage the public with memory, storytelling, and Lebanon’s recent history.

She developed her interest in dealing with the past during her studies at the Lebanese University Faculty of Media and Information, where she earned a degree in Public Relations and Publicity. Her professional experience as an editor and journalist further strengthened her engagement with storytelling and narrative work. She has collaborated with organizations including Fighters for Peace, Min Ila, and SEEDS for Legal Initiatives on initiatives related to oral history, citizenship, conflict transformation, women’s empowerment, and the issue of the kidnapped and missing in Lebanon.

Through her work, Nasr creates spaces for dialogue and reflection, exploring how personal narratives and lived experiences can contribute to social cohesion, reconciliation, and more inclusive futures.
