Leen Habhab, a psychologist, psychosocial support specialist, and peacebuilding facilitator

Habhab is a dedicated psychologist and psychosocial support specialist with a strong commitment to empowering communities through mental health, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Lebanese University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Political Sociology. She combines her expertise in psychology with her passion for community development, working extensively with children, youth, caregivers, and women in conflict-affected areas, providing therapeutic interventions and gender-based violence (GBV) focused support.

She has significant experience facilitating dialogue and reconciliation sessions in collaboration with organizations such as KAFA, Peace Labs, and UN Women. Her work focuses on addressing the legacy of the Lebanese civil war, promoting peacebuilding and reconciliation from a gender perspective, and conducting non-violent communication activities. Leen has also played a pivotal role in providing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and psychological first aid (PFA) particularly in emergencies, including the aftermath of the Beirut blast, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and wars.

An accomplished trainer and facilitator, Habhab has undergone extensive training in conflict analysis, dialogue facilitation, and trauma-informed care. Fluent in Arabic, French, English, Spanish, and Sign language, Habhab’s multilingual skills enable her to engage effectively across diverse communities.
