Manal Hamdoun, Executive Director of Act for the Disappeared (ACT)

Born and raised in Beirut, Manal Hamdoun is a political scientist and educator with over 25 years of experience in the education, humanitarian, and human rights sectors.

She holds degrees in Political Sciences from the Lebanese University (PSPA) and in Education from the Lebanese American University, as well as a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design from Arizona State University.

After 15 years abroad working in education and humanitarian response, supporting trauma-affected communities and motherless children, she returned to Beirut in 2018 and joined Act for the Disappeared (ACT) in 2019. She now serves as Executive Director, leading the organization’s strategic vision.
